DLC - September 18th

It's Thursday and PS Store time. It's also Burnout Paradise time as the bike "expansion" was released today and I want to give them a try!

ThreeSpeech - European Store Update

SALE!!! Every now and again the PS Store offers something that's been up at the Store for a while at a discount. Giving those who really pinch their gaming penny a chance at some of the Add-Ons or games they may not have otherwise picked up. (That is after all how a few friends and I happened to fall in love with PAIN.)  This week it's Call of Duty 4 add-on that's the pick of the litter.

Add-Ons
Thursday means Rock Band. My sister recently was at a friend's place and they played some "Drunk Band." Everybody lit trying to sing, play the guitar, or drums and sucking at it entirely, but sounded like she enjoyed herself. Today we have 11 songs and two packs. For all of the Megadeth fans there's an albbum for you, and have the Rock Band Live 2008 Tour pack with songs from The Cab, Dashboard Confessionals, Plain White T's, and Panic at the Disco. Totalling in a combined 253Mb of Rock Band~ness.

Demos
Now I know I haven't really been playing demos and posting my thoughts on them lately, but honestly there are just so many other games I'd rather be playing.  With games like The Last Guy, PixelJunk Eden, Bionic Commando: Rearmed, and now STAR WARS The Force Unleashed occupying a lot of my PS3 time I've been neglecting demos.  Well tonight's no different.  I just finished downloading the Bike pack for Burnout Paradise and I'm going to go nuts on one of these crotch rockets.  I'm sure if you've already gone nuts in Paradise City already you won't fault me.

Games
No new PSN or PSP games this week but we do have discounted UMD games previously released for the PSP available.  The Cube game doesn't ring a bell, but the PQ: Practical Intelligence Quotient game I have played a demo for.  It was a Japanese demo, but it's basically a puzzle solving game and was kind of enjoyable.  I left it on my PSP for a while just to randomly go through the puzzles.  Both games will run you $9.99 and can be downloaded via the PS3 or the PlayStation Store PC.

Themes
For the first time in a long time there aren't any themes or wallpapers released for either the PS3 or the PSP. Of course you can still head over to PS3-Themes.com, as they have frequent theme additions. Please keep in mind some of these themes are not kid or work friend, but there are quite a few that are quite nice and family friendly.

Well that's it for me.  Get a quick snack and then I'm going to find the biggest jump in Paradise City and it at 200 bajillion mph on one of these new "wheeled rockets!"  See ya in Paradise City!  (Wow, I sound like DJ Atomica now!)
